O Kadhal Kanmani

Last Saturday, We had a chance to see O Kadhal Kanmani. It was really fun event. Because, it was decided based on lot of Complicated background situations ( i Cant disclose in Public forum). My Family, Mr.Arul Vijay Joshua Family, Mr. Arun PR and Mr. Kishor Kumaar (my office Colleagues) were went to see the OK Kanmani movie which was directed by Great Mani Ratnam. My thought to see that film was to enjoy PC Sriram cinematography and AR Rahman Music.

Since it was wekend and decided at very last moment, we did not get ticket in Multiplexes, but we got in Devi Karumari Complex. Theatre was very old junkie building. Theatre has Three screens        (Devi Karumari, Sakthi Karumari & Annai Karumari). We were told as " Annai Karumari is Air Conditioned and Digital Surround system screen". Ofcourse, it was Air Conditioned by Split AC ( not centralized) and DTS system but the hall is not meant for Acoustic. The Seats are not on ramping hence last row people has to optimize the tilt angle of their neck to reach screen view.

In my Opinion, the Movie was not good family entertainer. But My Favourite Music Director and  Camera Man did their Job very fantastic, I enjoyed even in the worst screen & sound place. Lead Hero Acted very well. I liked the Climax scene because it was stood with our Culture.
After Returning home, Abhinav commented that " For next one year, Don't take me to any Loving Movie, it is full of kissing". Five year old boy commented in his style. Me and Priya Laughed.

PS: So lazy to Update Blog. Sorry Friends.

Kochadaiiyaan: The Legend

Ujjalya = Kochadaiiyaan:

First of all i just amused about the Numerology / Nameology behind Kochadaiiyaan title and Little worried. Saw the Movie and i thought of pen down my thoughts about it. Me and My friends had Big arguments about the movie due to mixed views from each person. Abhinav called the movie as "Ujjalya". May be the original nameology based name is so tough to pronounce, he made the name as simple for him to spell it out.

:
Below are the views from my friends and my comments in Red:
1. 3D and Graphics quality is not at all good : Very first movie in Indian cinema, so it would be experimental on commercial front though it is Rajini or somebody. $21M is total Budget where as Ice age @ $95M, Life of Pi @ $120M, Tin tin @ @130M cant be comparable. Kochadaiiyaan is just one fifth budget of Tin Tin, hence the Quality also. Upon Kochadaiiyaan success, Future projects will be lined -up.
2. Actor faces are not at all at par with original faces : Since we have been watching the Movie based on Original Actor's faces, it cant match real one with available budget. But still, the rest of character faces are little poor than Rajini, deepika and Nagesh.
3. No children based contents : this is very true. If 10 minutes of children based content, it would have been great pull for Kids crowd.
4. It does not meet the expectations : Expecting international quality is genuine; since Life of Pi, x - Men...etc graphics work were done at Chennai and Hyderabad. but Budget again plays a Role along with Director's Touch. Kochadaiiyaan Director is debut.
5. Very lengthy : True, Second half songs would have been edited to reduce the length. But it is still Musical treat from A.R.Rahman
Positive side
6. Storyline and Script is very good : KS Ravikumar done a wonderful job again. Perfect blend of Sentiment, Story, Action..etc
7. Back ground Music is too good : BG Music is another great HIT for the Movie. ARR done wonderful job too
8. Nice ending with Twist : Expecting Part -2 Director Madam

But Overall, I would rate Good.

Review Nadodigal

Nadodigal – Simply Best! Wordless

Production: Global Infotainment Pvt Ltd

Direction: Samuthirakkani

Star-casts: Sasi Kumar, Abhinaya, Anaya, Vijay Vasanth, Bharani, Ganja Karuppu and many others.

Music: Sundar C Babu

Fine! The ‘Subramaniapuram’ team keep us invigorated us with more commendable themes. For a greatest part, the films associated with that crew do really make us watch them more than once. It was more evident with ‘Subramaniapuram’ and ‘Pasanga’. Now, it’s all happening with ‘Nadodigal’ directed by Samuthirakkani. Maybe, this is his debut directorial but has spelled the best on terms of technical as well narration. Let it be the angles of camera placement or the jocular dialogues or the emotional output from the actors, they’re perfectly handled.

The film is about a group of friends; Karuna (Sasi Kumar), Pandian (Bharani) and Chandran (Bharani) going through a happy life. They’ve a good family backgrounds, lovely parents and lovable girlfriends. But their life is turned upside down once Karuna’s close friend Saravanan, son of ex-MP from Namakkal seeks their help in getting him united with his girlfriend who happens to be the daughter of a bigwig. With their courageous attempt, they go ahead in accomplishing with the task by losing peace, happiness and future of their lives. But finally, when they get to know that the united couple are ready for divorce, their frustrations have no end…

Director Sasi Kumar holds a special position for him in Kollywood now. For sure, the leading actors who refused to do his role must be really disappointed with it. Sasi Kumar should’ve turned the present frontline actors on his attention. Actress Anaya and Abhinaya have done best on their parts with unique traits. Bharani of Kalloori fames excels by stealing the show. What an extraordinary performance he has done? He keeps winning laurels from the audiences throughout his portions. On the pars, Vijay Vasanth who didn’t have enough role in Chennai 600028 and Thozha gets a meaty role to showcase. Ganja Karuppu on his part adds to the humor quotients.

Samuthirakkani has well expressed every emotional sequences to the best. Let it be laughter or emotions, they’re outstandingly perfect. You’ll witness it if you watch this film with the audiences. Because, it has a strong social theme of how today LOVE AFFAIRS have gone cheap. It justifies the theme from the part of parents. But differently, friends’ version of this motif is a good attempt.

The ending shot of this film is yet another additional highlight. Musical Score by Sundar C Babu embellishes the film, especially the number ‘Sambo Siva Sambo’ picks your attention.

On the whole, ‘Nadodigal’ will be a successful film of this season and for sure will go with more collections.

Verdict : Don’t miss it by all means…
